Static Routing
Static routing is a method where routing information is manually configured on the router. In this process, the paths for data packets within the network are determined manually.
Configure Static Routing​
In the router portal under the tab Network ➜ Static Routing, click "Add route":
- Specify the IP subnet of the second router
- Specify the subnet mask of the second subnet
- Specify the WAN IP of the second router
- Click "Save"

The Centro Business supports up to 6 static routes
Limitations​
- Not available with BNS/EC-S contract
- Data cannot be routed into the Peer-to-Peer VPN.

What are the risks of static routing?
- Misconfigurations: Improper configuration can lead to security vulnerabilities that can be exploited by attackers.
- No encryption: Static routing offers no integrated encryption or security mechanisms.
What are the limitations of static routing?
- Data cannot be routed into the Peer-to-Peer VPN.
- No routes to the Internet can be defined. The second router must be in the same subnet as the Centro Business.
