Information on the status of the Internet connection is displayed, and various settings regarding Internet access (WAN) can be made.

Basic Settings

WAN Access: Shows the existing Internet access technology.

Internet Backup or Mobile Access: Provides information on whether the function is being used and with which type of device (USB modem or Toolkit).

WAN Failover on Eth. 4: Serves to ensure the continuity of the WAN connection as a failover.

WAN Connectivity: The option "WAN Reset" allows restoring the WAN configuration
without losing local settings.

PPPoE settings
- Only available with option "Fixed IP" - Information on username and password of the PPPoE account
DNS settings
In the basic configuration, two Swisscom DNS servers are configured on the Centro Business for name resolution. If required, two alternative DNS servers can be configured in the settings.

What needs to be configured for Internet access to work?
The basic configuration for Internet access is part of the concluded Internet subscription
and is managed by Swisscom.
What happens to the Internet access if a WAN Reset is triggered?
- The WAN Reset deletes all settings regarding Internet access and subsequently restores them according to the basic configuration.
- Local settings made by the user remain preserved.
What is the function of Internet Backup?

Why is DynDNS needed?

Is the Internet access protected against malicious attacks?
- With the integrated "Firewall", the router is protected against ping or port scanning attacks.
- DDOS attacks cause large amounts of traffic that can impair existing connections.
The router as well as the infrastructure in the LAN remain protected.
What can the WAN Failover on Eth. 4 be used for?
- Similar to Internet Backup, "WAN Failover on Eth. 4" is a function for connection assurance in case of disruption or failure of Internet access.
- When using this function, Internet access must be ensured via a third-party device on Eth. 4.
