DECT
DECT stands for "Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications" — a standard for wireless telephone communication commonly used in cordless landline phones. DECT offers reliable, high-quality voice transmission and good indoor range. Since DECT operates in its own dedicated frequency range, it is immune to interference from WLAN or Bluetooth.

FAQ - DECT
How is a DECT handset paired with the integrated DECT base?
The pairing process can be initiated from the router portal or by long-pressing (7 seconds) the DECT button. After releasing, the DECT LED flashes white — the handset can now be registered. Upon successful pairing, the DECT LED lights up blue.
How is security against unauthorized pairing increased?
In the router portal, pairing can be protected with a PIN code.
Can the integrated DECT base be switched off?
Yes — either from the router portal or by briefly pressing the DECT button. When the DECT base is off, the DECT LED goes out.
Which DECT handsets are compatible?
- Recommended (DECT CAT-iq): Gigaset SL360, Gigaset CL660, Gigaset E560, Gigaset Maxwell, Nyon
- DECT CAT-iq standard: All main functions are supported
- DECT GAP standard: Only basic calls are guaranteed
How can the DECT range be extended?
- Position the Centro Business 2.0 as centrally as possible
- If insufficient: Use a Gigaset Repeater HX (max. 2 repeaters, suitable for max. 2 handsets)
- For larger areas: Connect a Gigaset IP BASE COMFORT via Ethernet to the LAN of the CB 2.0 or CB 3.0
When does No Emission Mode become active?
As soon as there is no DECT traffic for approx. one minute, the DECT transmitters on the base and handsets are switched off. When using the Gigaset Repeater or DECT GAP handsets, the function cannot be activated.
Why can't all numbers be selected when pairing handsets?
In My Swisscom, numbers for DECT handsets can be pre-selected. This may result in not all numbers being offered during pairing.
