Separate WLAN
Users who receive access via the separate WLAN can surf the Internet wirelessly with their devices (notebook, tablet, smartphone, etc.). Access to the local network (LAN) or the company infrastructure is blocked.
Legal Note
Whoever provides third parties with access to the Internet bears responsibility for any abusive activities that occur via this access (e.g., terrorism, child pornography, cybercrime, etc.).
To generally protect the local network and the infrastructure located within it from malware-infected end devices, the use of a separate WLAN is also recommended.
Goal and Purpose
Display the status of the wireless separate WLAN, activate WLAN, and make settings.

FAQ - Separate WLAN
What are the password requirements for a Wi-Fi password in the router portal?
- CB3.0 ➜ Minimum 16 characters, maximum 32 characters
- CB2.0 ➜ Minimum 10 characters, maximum 32 characters (in the future also min. 16)
- Minimum 1 uppercase letter
- Minimum 1 lowercase letter
- Minimum 1 number
- Minimum 1 special character (allowed characters are shown in the router portal)
- Check your password strength with the new checker next to the input field in the router portal
- Avoid confusion by avoiding characters such as: I (i) and l (L) as well as zero (0) and the letter O
- Treat the Wi-Fi password very confidentially! Changing it causes too much effort to reconfigure all authorized devices.
What to do if the separate WLAN signal does not reach all corners or the connection stalls?
The WLAN works best when it has a clear path. The Centro Business should be placed as centrally as possible, free-standing, and upright in the room. If the Centro Business is located in a cabinet or behind the sofa, the WLAN range is restricted. Walls, other devices, or plants in the immediate vicinity can also be obstacles.
Is the provision of a WLAN access point for third parties permissible?
For professionally operated public WLAN access points, there is an obligation to identify end users by suitable means.
