Remote access to the router portal
Generally, Swisscom offers the possibility to use temporary superadmin access to a Centro Business via the My Swisscom Business Portal.
Since this access entails limitations regarding security (HTTP only) (no sensitive data is visible or transmitted), techadmin access (HTTPS) is additionally enabled.
Differences between the access roles are documented under "Remote Access"
Goal and Purpose
The user (admin) can grant another expert (e.g., IT partner) full write access to the router from a remote location. The "techadmin" remote function prevents unnecessary travel times for the network administrator (IT partner/expert).
Conditions
Router portal login credentials are known.
Instructions
Prepare & Share: Initial setup of "techadmin" access While logged in as admin (customer/owner), a password must be initially set for the "techadmin" in the tab Internet ➜ Basic Settings.
This allows the admin to decide whether to make this access method available to a trusted partner.

The access profile of "techadmin" is identical to that of "admin", with the exception that "techadmin" cannot view or change the router access password.
Only one user role can access the router portal at a time.
1. Start "superadmin" remote access After successfully logging into the My Swisscom Business Portal, the role "superadmin" can be temporarily activated and opened for access in the menu Internet ➜ Router Settings ➜ Access outside the office.
2. Switch roles After a successful superadmin login to the router portal, the role "techadmin" can be temporarily activated in the tab Internet ➜ Basic Settings (ON ➜ Save).
Due to the automatic logout, the login page appears again for "techadmin" login.
Depending on the browser, a page refresh may be required.
Limitations
Remote access is not possible with the Internet subscription Business Network Solutions (BNS) or Enterprise Connect S (EC-S). For these subscriptions, configuration is carried out directly in the corresponding My Swisscom Business Dashboard.
FAQ - Remote access to the router portal
Where can an overview of the privileges/rights of the different access profiles be found?
The table can be found under "Remote Access"
Can remote access be kept open permanently?
No. Swisscom prevents remote access from being left open permanently.
Permanent opening poses a significant security risk and can make the network vulnerable to external threats. A permanently open remote access increases the likelihood of unauthorized access or DDoS attacks by cybercriminals.
