Statistics
The statistics page in the router portal provides an overview of the data traffic on the router's individual interfaces. For each interface it shows the amount of data sent and received, as well as any reception problems. These values make it easy to assess the activity and health of the connections at a glance.
The values shown are cumulative counters since the last restart of the router. After a restart, all counters start again at 0.
Meaning of the metricsβ
The same four metrics are reported for each interface. Depending on the interface, they are shown as a number of data packets and, in some cases, additionally as bytes.
| Metric | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Sent data | Amount of data sent by the interface (outgoing traffic). |
| Received data | Amount of data received by the interface (incoming traffic). |
| Reception errors | Number of packets received with errors (e.g. due to checksum errors). |
| Reception drops | Number of packets discarded because they could not be processed (e.g. a full buffer). |
Low values or values at 0 for Reception errors and Reception drops indicate a stable connection. Rising values can be a sign of connection or line problems.
Overview of the interfacesβ
Internet accessβ
Shows the total data traffic on the WAN connection, i.e. the traffic between the router and the internet.
Networkβ
Shows the data traffic on the local network (LAN), i.e. the traffic between the router and the wired devices connected to it.
WLANβ
Shows the data traffic over the wireless interfaces. Values of 0 mean that no data has currently been transmitted over the respective WLAN.
